Garrett's 3rd bday!

June 30th

Today we went to the beach to celebrate Garrett's 3rd bday!! It's always so much fun to go to his bday because we get to hang out on the beach, play in the sand and water and eat yummy food! The weather was really nice this year and I had a lot of fun playing with all the kids! There were alot of crabs in the sand this year too, so I had fun trying to collect them and put them in my pail. Kiley seemed to enjoy herself too cuz Mommy and Daddy got a cool 'tent' for her to hang out in. She also went out to the water with Daddy but it was too cold for her to enjoy ( and too cold for me to enjoy either!). I was perfectly happy playing away from all the water! It was a fun birthday party and we all enjoyed seeing everyone! Happy birthday Garrett! ( We left a little early, so Mommy didn't get a good picture of Garrett blowing out his candles or eating his cupcake! )

Kiley is 10 months old!!

June 30th

Kiley is 10 months old already!! I notice that she's getting older because she can move all over the place now! She loves to crawl and follow me everywhere, which can be fun at times but also very annoying! I get mad at her often, but mommy says she just wants to be near me.  She can now pull herself up from sitting, so I've realized that my stuff isn't 'safe' anymore on the ottoman or on my art table! I have to move my stuff higher so that she can't get to it! And now she can 'cruise' side to side so I have to be even quicker at trying to keep my things away from her! Kiley is also going up the stairs a lot! Someone always has to watch her though becuase she doesn't know how to go back down backwards and she's almost fallen a couple of times! I try to help 'teach' her how to go down the stairs backwards but it seems so easy to me so I dont know why she can't do it! Kiley likes to put everything in her mouth! Mommy always tells me that I have to be careful with what I leave on the ground, but it's hard to remember that.  Kiley has definitely eaten her fair share of paper and has also swallowed a hair band, which luckily came back out the other end! I have been helping Mommy and Daddy by telling them when I see her putting something in her mouth so hopefully she won't keep eating things that she shouldn't!

Kiley tries to 'talk' now too! I have fun 'grunting' and making noises that she makes! Mommy and Daddy think it's funny when we are having a 'conversation' of grunting back and forth! She can say a few words like ‘dada’ and ‘mama’ and ‘ba’ for ball and 'da' for any kind of animal.

Kiley has been eating a lot of different foods lately and not as much 'pureed' things, like chicken, cheese, bread, tofu, peaches, strawberries, pears and bananas. I still want everything that Kiley's eating, but I have also realized that I get to eat some better food than her at times!

Monterey Bay Aquarium / Alameda Fair

June 22

Today Daddy went diving so Mommy, me and Kiley drove down with him and went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I had a fun time looking at all the fishes, jellyfish, otters, seahorses and birds! Mommy didn't get a chance to take very many pictures of the both of us though! Daddy met up with us afterwards for lunch! He caught a nice halibut which I helped him clean later in the day !

After the aquarium , while me and Kiley napped in the car, Mommy and Daddy drove us to the Alameda County Fair! It was HOT there, but I was too excited about all the fun things there to notice! I wanted to play the carnival games in the kids section! I played a game where you have to throw a ping pong ball into a colored dish. It looked hard but I actually won a prize!! Then I played a game where I had to pick fish out of the water, and I won another prize ( I picked a Nemo fish)!

We also got to watch some horse racing, see the farm animals and rabbits, eat some yummy corn dogs and take pictures with Curious George and Brother Bear and Sister Bear! It was an eventful day and I had a lot of fun!

Father's Day Weekend

June 15-16th

This weekend we celebrated Father's day! On Saturday we went out to brunch with Daddy and Bachan   in Livermore and then headed to San Jose to see Papa. It was a nice day and so we had a little picnic and ate lunch with Papa. I still get a little confused when Mommy tells me that we are going to see Papa, but I still remember him and tell him that I miss him and love him lots!

On Sunday we went to Ardenwood with Daddy! I got to see all the animals and even feed them! I also got to ride the train ( it was pulled by a horse!) for the first time there! It was a fun day with Daddy! I hope he had a nice Father's day with us too!

Beach with Hugo and Eamon

June 9th

Today we got together with Auntie Stephanie, Eamon, and Hugo! We went to a beach out in Alameda and had a lot of fun playing in the sand, in the water and making lots of sand castles! Kiley and Eamon hung out in the 'tent' but seemed to have fun playing with all the toys in there! I always have a lot of fun with Hugo and can't wait to see him again!
