Today my daddy went over to Uncle Ken's house to clean the halibut they caught yesterday. Uncle Ken invited us to stay over for dinner and he made another one of his fabulous meals! My mommy and daddy indulged in smoked lamb with marmalade and grey salt, grilled asparagus with pancetta and soft boiled eggs, and buttered potatoes! Wow! It looked yummy! I got to see Auntie Anna, Uncle Spencer, Auntie Stella and Tyler too! It was so nice to see them all and to hang out with them!

May 28th
Today mommy and I joined Daddy on his diving trip to Monterey. My daddy goes down there almost every weekend, but we don't always go with him ( he goes really early and I'm usually still sleeping!). It was fun to go down there and spend the day in Monterey! While my daddy was diving, Mommy and I went to the aquarium! I had a lot of fun there watching all the fish, playing in the 'splash zone' area for kids and watching the penguins get fed. Afterwards, we met up with my daddy to have lunch on cannery row. My daddy had a good day diving and caught a nice halibut! Good job Daddy!

Later that night Auntie Stephanie invited us over for dinner! It was nice to see her, Uncle Jeff and Hugo! They spoiled my mommy and daddy with a nice meal, including homemade ice cream! I tried to grab a spoonful but I wasn't fast enough. I got to play with Hugo and I had a lot of fun playing with him and watching him run around! I hope we can see them again soon!
Today my mommy and I got to visit baby Leah! She's 6 weeks old and super cute! We had lunch with Auntie Carrie and Makena while baby Leah slept. It was so nice to see them all again! I am excited to have the both of them to grow up with and to play with !
May 22nd
Today I turned 8 months old! I've been doing a lot of new things since last month!
I don't like to sit still anymore!

My favorite new thing is standing up! I love to be standing now and will look for anything I can to try and pull myself up to stand.

If I'm holding onto something/ someone, I can take some steps too! I still don't care to crawl and will only occasionally 'bunny hop' forward if I really want something. Otherwise, I'm happy just rolling around or pushing myself backward. I think I'm going to skip this whole crawling thing and just start walking already! =)
My other new thing is eating new foods! Aside from trying new pureed foods (my favorites are carrots and peas), I've discovered cereal puffs, and I love them! I love eating with my hands and I finally figured out how to get them in my mouth, basically I just stick my WHOLE hand in my mouth and the chances that the puff gets in my mouth is pretty good!
Hmm.. how do I get these things in my mouth...
It's gotta go in my mouth if I put my whole hand in there...
I also just learned how to hold two things and pound them together! My favorite things to play with right now are tupperware, blocks and books!

I am also starting to enjoy my bathtime! I hated bathtime and would cry every time, but lately, because I can sit up, I love to splash and play in the water! I get water EVERYWHERE, but it's fun and my mommy and daddy are happy because I'm not crying!

I am still not saying any words, but I do like to whine or screech 'EEEEE' with my arms stiffened straight out to the sides, when I want something that I'm not getting. I don't think my mommy and daddy like it much, but until I can talk, that's what they're gonna get!

Today mommy and I got to go to Cole's 1st birthday party! We got to see a lot of people that we haven't seen in a long time! And I got to meet a couple of people/babies that I haven't met yet! Cole is such a cutie and he seemed to have a fun birthday! I was impressed by his cupcake eating skills!
