Daddy likes to make me laugh by tickling me!

Lately I have been wanting to put things in my mouth, keep them there and go about my business... I've been experimenting with all kinds of things from small records, cloth shapes from my book, teethers, cassette tapes, books, and rubber bracelets! My mommy thinks it's cuz I'm teething... but I guess only I know the real reason!

Out to dinner

July 31st

Grandma and grandpa took all of us out to dinner for my mommy's birthday.  We went to Market Broiler and they had a big tank with fish! I had fun watching them swim all around!  It was so nice to see everyone!

It was also Rocky's bday today! He's 3 years old now! We got him a little stuffed toy for his bday, although I think I like playing with it more than him!

Devin's 1st bday

July 30th
Today my mommy and I went to my friend Devin's 1st bday party! Devin is Uncle Kyle's son ( Uncle Kyle is my mommy's co-worker). The party was a Cookie Monster theme and Devin's mommy, Auntie Angela, is a super good baker and made really cute cake pops! It was a fun afternoon and it was nice to see Devin!

Fun day at the beach!

July 26th
Today my mommy and daddy had the day off and since it was a really nice day, we decided to go to Santa Cruz/Capitola for the day! It was nice and sunny down there! We went to the beach and I had my first encounter with sand! I wasn't quite sure about it, and didn't get the courage to try and crawl on it.  I just stayed on our little mat and crawled in circles!  I did touch it though and to my mommy's surprise, I didn't try and eat it!  We didn't get close enough to go touch the water, but I'm sure if it's up to my daddy, I'll be doing that soon enough!

Weekend in Napa

July 22nd

This weekend I got to go to Napa with my mommy and daddy! It was my first trip away staying in a hotel room! My mommy was a little nervous about how I was going to be and how I would handle being toted around all day going to restaurants & wineries, but I did pretty good! I did keep them up at night though, because I just couldn't get comfortable in my pack and play, but I handled everything else really well. I didn't find the wine tasting very exciting, but I had fun watching all the people at each of the places and looking at all the other things around. At night we went out to some nice restaurants, and even though I was tired, I behaved pretty well and let mommy and daddy enjoy their nice evenings out.  It was a fun weekend away with mommy and daddy! ( Rocky stayed with grandma and grandpa!)

10 Months old!

July 22nd

I like to throw the '10 months' sign all over- that's why it's not in the picture!

Today I am 10 months old! Wow, I'm almost a year old already! Lately I have been saying a lot of 'ma ma ma', 'da da da', 'na na na' .. although not really directed to anyone/thing yet and no 'real' words yet either! I pretty much have the crawling thing down and am all over the place. I like to stand up whenever I have the chance and I'm figuring out how to open cabinets and drawers! I love pulling everything out of the drawers and off the shelves! I'm starting to have more of a 'personality' now too! I get very frustrated when I can't do something or can't have something that I want and I get really upset when I can't figure something out! For the most part though, I'm pretty happy most of the time and enjoy watching people! And if you say 'hi' to me, most likely I'll smile back at you ( unless I'm super tired!).

I LOVE music and like to dance to the beat or shake my hands or rattles! I go to music class one or two times a week, so I get lots of practice! I also go to gymboree once a week now too, so I have been getting better at climbing things and going through tunnels! I also love balls and love to play with them and try to push them around! And I love to put my hands in the faucet and play with the water! I also figured out how to 'point' to things and love to just point at random things for the fun of it!

I've been chasing Rocky around now instead of him chasing me, and I love to pull on his fur! He doesn't like it much! I have to work on being 'gentle', but so far I have no idea what that word means! Hopefully he realizes I'm just playing! I'm looking forward to growing up so that I can play with him more! My mommy is trying to teach me to throw the ball to Rocky, but so far I don't know how to do that! Soon enough, I hope!

Del Valle/ pigtails

July 17th

Today we went to Del Valle Lake. My Daddy wanted to go paddling so my mommy and I went along and went hiking along the trail. It was a really nice day out there and the trail we walked on was nice because we were able to watch Daddy paddling on his board. We had a nice time but we were all tired by the time we got home!

So I finally have enough hair for my mommy to put my hair in pigtails! I don't care so much about it, but my mommy seems to have fun trying to put pigtails and bows/clips in my hair all the time.  I amuse her for a little while and leave them in for a few minutes before pulling them out!

July 16th
Today my mommy went to hang out with her friend during the day so I got to spend the whole morning and afternoon with Daddy! I had so much fun being with him and getting to spend time with him! Thanks Daddy!

July 15th

Today my mommy and I met with Auntie Tina, my mommy's co-worker, for lunch in Alameda.  My mommy really loved the restaurant they went to and she had a lot of fun hanging out with Auntie Tina all afternoon! I had a nice time hanging out too, and it was nice to see Auntie Tina again! Hopefully we can all get together and do it again soon!

Later that day, while my mommy was cleaning in the kitchen, I found a drawer that I can get into and play with all the things inside! I think I'm going to be creating a lot of messes soon!

July 13th
Today Auntie Ashley had the day off, so we were lucky enough to get to meet her and Damon for lunch at Santana row! It was so nice to see her and Damon and to get to spend some time with them! I had fun trying to keep up with Damon ( with the help of mommy holding my hands) and my mommy had fun catching up with Auntie Ashley! I hope we can all get together again soon!

Kimiko's 1st bday

July 10th

Today my mommy and I got to go to Kimiko's 1st birthday party! Kimiko is Auntie Cindy and Uncle Nate's little girl. She's so cute! She has two older brothers Jake and Bradley who are really good to her! I got to see a lot of my friends there and a lot of my aunties and uncles! I had so much fun playing with everyone and watching everyone, but I sure was pooped by the end! Unfortunately my mommy didn't get pictures of everyone, but here are a few of them!
