Lunch with Hugo

September 24th
Today I got to hang out with Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Jeff and Hugo! I had a lot of fun playing with all of Hugo's toys, blowing bubbles ( well, trying...) and playing with the wind chimes!
I'm looking forward to our next play date!

1 year old!!

September 22nd

I'm one year old today!!!

I am growing up so quickly! I can cruise around the furniture and walk around with two hands holding me. I'm getting better using only one hand to hold on, and will walk some steps slowly.  I still prefer to crawl everywhere and am getting pretty fast! I can climb up the stairs and finally got the hang of turning around to go down the stairs! I still love to point at things , usually things I want, and will let you know my frustration when you don't give it to me. I have found a new liking to soft stuffed animals and love to 'hug' and 'kiss' them. I still love music and have discovered how to open and close the CD player and take all the CDs out! I love to push buttons to see what they do and I'm continuing to explore all the cabinets and garbage cans when I can!  My new favorite games are 'peek a boo', trying to mimic my mommy and daddy's facial expressions and playing with toilet paper.  I love to watch football and will clap every time I hear the crowd clapping!

Since today was my one year birthday I got to open some presents! I love to unwrap them and play with the paper!

I also got to have a special treat after dinner tonite! I wasn't quite sure about the candle but I definitely loved the cupcake! I almost ate the whole thing!

My first candle
MMMM!

Afterwards I got a nice bath to wash off all the frosting!

Nice and clean

It was a fun birthday day today ( I got to spend most of it with my Daddy because he took the day off with me! ). I'm also looking forward to my birthday party next weekend! I think that means I get to have more cupcakes!

Hiking/meeting baby Nathan

Sept 18th

This morning my mommy and daddy decided to go check out a local refuge/trail. I think they anticipated a longer hike than the actual 1.5 mile loop, but it was still a fun ride in my stroller and a beautiful day to be outside.

Later in the day we went to visit Uncle 'Suk' and finally got to meet baby Nathan.  Baby Nathan is already 8 months old and he's a big boy! I had a lot of fun meeting him and playing with all his toys! I can't wait til he gets older so that we can have more play dates together!

Hanging out with grandma

Sept 17th

Today my mommy and daddy went to their friend Kei & Sharon's wedding in the city so I got to spend the whole afternoon/night with my grandma! I had a lot of fun with her! She recently went on an alaskan cruise with my grandpa and bought me a whole bunch of fun hand puppets! I love playing with them!

Dinner with Uncle Lance and Auntie Trish

September 16th

Tonite we all got to go out to eat with Uncle Lance and Auntie Trish! They are over here from Hawaii because they are going to a wedding tomorrow night! It was so nice to see Uncle Lance again and to finally meet his fiancé, Auntie Trish! They are getting married next weekend in Hawaii!
We went out to a really nice restaurant and I did really well considering how late we all stayed out ( it was well past my bedtime!) and for how nice of a place it was! I think the super salty tasty french fries that I was eating played a big part in why I was so happy there! I love french fries ( but then again, who doesn't!)!

Happy Hollow

September 10th
Today we got to meet Auntie Ashley and Damon at Happy Hollow! It was a spontaneous get together and I'm so glad we were able to meet up with them! It was my first time there and I had so much fun! It's such a nice park and I loved all the fun activities it had to offer! I got to ride the dragon train, watch a puppet show, see all the animals and even try to ride the merry go round for my first time ( I got scared though and had to get off half way through the ride! Maybe next time I'll do better on it!) It was a lot of fun to hang out with Damon and Auntie Ashley! I can't wait to go back again!

Maui Grandma and Oba-ban visit

September 1st-7th

My Maui Grandma and Oba-ban came to visit and stay with us! It was so nice to see them again! I have gotten a lot bigger and am much more interactive since the last time they came and I had so much fun with them! I loved playing hide and seek with the both of them and Oba-ban always made me laugh with her silly faces!

Playing on my great great grandma's knitted blanket!
We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with them and had so much fun looking at all the exhibits! The new tuna tank was reopened, so I got to see the big tunas (my daddy's favorite exhibit!) and some other new animals, like the baby turtles!

The next day we went to Sausalito. We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge to get there and then went to a fun art festival. At the festival there was an area for kids and we happened to be there at the perfect time because there was a singer singing children's songs! Since I love music, I had a lot of fun dancing, clapping, and watching all the other kids!

I had so much fun with my Maui grandma and Oba-ban! They took really good care of me and spoiled me like crazy! Thanks for everything! I can't wait to see you guys again soon!
