4 months old
January 22nd
Today I turned 4 months old! Wow! Time flies so fast and I'm getting so big! I haven't had my 4 month check-up yet, so I don't officially know how much I weigh right now but my mommy and daddy say I'm getting really heavy! =) At 4 months, I am now able to push up on my hands and elbows in tummy time and even reach out with one hand. I can consistently grab things and shake them around when I'm sitting, but I tend to favor using only my right hand. I like to try and 'stand' up when my mommy and daddy hold me on their laps and I've just started to try and grab things and put them in my mouth, mostly my bib and burp cloths. I can also perform a 'sitting' position in the tripod position, but only for a few seconds! I haven't figured out rolling yet but can get to my side from my back. I like to suck on my thumb for comfort and am trying to learn to take the bottle for feedings!

booster/high chair
Today we went to visit Auntie Janell, Jeremy and Garrett. It was such a nice day so we all went to the park close by. My mommy walked with me in her Ergo carrier since I like it much better now that I am bigger and can look around when I'm in it! At the park I watched Jeremy play on the slides! It looked like a lot of fun! Afterwards we went back and had lunch. I got to play with Garrett's zebra and then later sit in his booster chair while my mommy and Auntie Janell ate. I really enjoyed sitting in the booster chair so when I got home, my mommy decided to set up my infant-high chair for me to use! It was a great idea because now I can sit and see mommy and daddy at the table and 'be a part' of meal time! Plus, now, my mommy can eat without having to hold me all the time and I can sit and play with all my toys on my tray! What a great new thing!

lunch with Auntie Sheri

Today my mommy and grandma had lunch with Auntie Sheri! It was so nice to finally meet her! My mommy had a nice time talking with her and enjoyed sharing 'baby' stories! I hope I can see her again soon! And I hope I can meet Uncle Jeff and their kids soon too!

hanging out with makena
January 18
Today I got to go over to Makena's house and hang out! My mommy and Auntie Carrie had fun talking and catching up over lunch! I was very fascinated with watching Makena and she was very good at entertaining me! She made me laugh and smile while I was there! She really wanted me to talk and play with her, but unfortunately she'll have to wait another year or so! In the meantime, she'll be busy with her own little sister who will be arriving soon!

This weekend we went to Tahoe again! The weather was so nice up there! My mommy and daddy tried to capture a picture of me on the saucer in the snow! I only stay in the tripod position for a split second so it was challenging to get a good picture of me by myself! I can't wait to be able to sit and go down a hill in the saucer on my own when I get older!

Today my grandma and mommy practiced the 'tripod' position with me! Auntie Lorna told us that it was a good way to work on sitting and a good alternative to tummy time, and she was right! I'm already getting stronger!

Oregon Ducks
January 10th
Well tonite was the BCS championship football game and the Oregon Ducks were in it for the first time ever! We were all excited and Rocky and I got all dressed up in our Oregon gear ready to root on the Ducks!!!
Unfortunately, the Ducks ended up losing, but it was very close and fun to watch ( yes, I watch alot of football with my Daddy). My Daddy was really sad that they didn't win, but there's always next year!

reaching!
January 9th
I finally coordinated my arms and hands to reach for things! I had been gripping things when my mommy or daddy put something in my hand, and I was able to wave it around, but I was having a hard time actually reaching for anything! Today I finally figured it out and even though it is still slightly uncoordinated and takes me a few trials, I was able to reach and grab objects repeatedly! Now, I just need to figure out what to do with it when I have it in my hands! Right now I keep trying to put it toward my mouth but instead I just hit my face over and over! I'll get it sooner or later!

January 8th
Today my friend Connor, Auntie Lorna and Uncle Darrell came over for lunch! It was nice to see them again! My friend Connor tried to play on our Kinect and did very well and my Auntie Lorna was such a pro at the Dance Central! She made it look so easy! (My mommy disappointingly didn't get a picture of Auntie Lorna showing off her moves!). We hope they come over again! I think if anything Auntie Lorna will back for more Dance Central!
Later in the evening my friend Damon, Auntie Ashley and Uncle Todd came over for dinner. It was nice to hang out with them! They all had a very yummy dinner and my Auntie and Uncle spoiled my mommy and daddy with some delicious wine! I hope we can all hang out again soon! Thanks Auntie, Uncle and Damon for coming over to join us!

Family xmas/holiday get together
January 2nd
Today we all got together for a late Christmas/ holiday get together. I got to see my grandma, grandpa, Auntie Nicole and Uncle Dean! I had a nice time hanging out with everyone and everyone got such nice gifts, especially me! Even Rocky got some fun presents to open!
