Sia's bday party

Feb 9th

Today I went to my friend , Sia's bday party. Sia is in my preschool class and she was nice to invite me to her 2nd bday! We went to a place in Palo Alto called UME, that had all kinds of fun things to play with! I had a lot of fun playing with her and all the fun things there!

Kiley is 5 monts old!

January 30th

Today Kiley turned 5 months old! She’s getting so big and time is flying by way too fast! Mommy says Kiley is a happy baby! She seems to love interaction and loves when you give her attention and talk and sing to her! She also seems to love music and coo a lot! Mommy says she seems to love to watch me and loves it when I sing to her! Mommy says I'm a good big sister to her! Kiley can now comfortably be on her tummy and lift herself up and keep her head up for awhile. She also can sit for a short time in what Mommy calls the 'tripod position'! She is slowly learning to roll, and has rolled a few times from her back to her tummy and from her tummy ( with a pillow under) to her back. She can reach for things and put them in her mouth and play with all the things that dangle from her bouncer/ around the world and play mat . Mommy and Daddy started to give her rice cereal since she still isn’t taking the bottle. She loves to eat it and lunges toward the spoon and smiles after taking a big mouthful! She makes it look so fun that I always want to eat some too!! Actually even though Mommy says Kiley wants to try and be like me, I often try and copy Kiley! Whether it's eating baby food, asking Mommy to feed me or carry me, or just babbling/ cooing , just like her! Mommy says she seems pretty easy going and mellow and said that I was the same way around this age too, so we'll see how she ends up being when she's older.

Kiley is 6 months old!

February 30th

Today Kiley turned 6 months old! She went to her 6 month appt and is now 16 pounds and 26” tall!  She still doesn’t roll much, but she can roll from tummy to back pretty easily and will on occasion roll from back to tummy. I try to help her roll by waving her toys in front of her! Kiley is sitting better now too.  Mommy still puts a pillow behind her in case she falls backwards but as long as she has toys to play with, she sits pretty long.  She's been reaching a lot more too! I have to watch what toys I have in front of her because she likes to put everything in her mouth right now!

Mommy and Daddy have been trying to feed her different foods like bananas, yams, peas, cereal and pears and some jar baby food. Of course I want to eat everything that they are giving her too! And yes, even the jar baby food! Kiley seems to like it so it must be good, right!?

Kiley is cooing a lot and likes to ‘talk’, especially when she’s hungry or tired! She seems to like to be around all of us and gets upset if she’s left by herself. Mommy says she LOVES watching me and will just stare at me all the time! She seems to love music, just like I did at her age! And she seems to recognize people now and will get upset if she sees mommy and wants to eat or be carried! Of course that makes me want to be picked up or fed too!! I'm still adjusting to being an older sister and not being the 'only' one any more. I still have my moments but at times I like trying to play with her and take care of her.

January 16th-29th

Bachan babysits my cousin Colton on Wednesdays so my mommy sometimes goes over there to hang out. Kiley and Colty have fun getting to play together.  It's fun to see them grow up together and to watch how much they both change!

I've been getting used to being a big sister and getting a little better about having Kiley around. Here's some pictures Mommy took of the two of us.

I'm still taking dance lessons on saturdays! Some days I really like it and want to participate and do really well, but then there are some days I just don't want to do much in the class.  I have a lot of cute tutu's though, and I love wearing them to the classes!

49er playoff game

January12th

Yeah!! The niners are in the playoffs! Uncle Ken and Auntie Anna were nice enough to host a playoff party! We had a fun time there and I got to see some of my friends and meet a few new ones too! My mommy and daddy had fun hanging out with their friends as well!! AND the niners WON! Yippee!! Hope they make it to the Super Bowl!!

New Year's Eve

Dec 31st

New Year's eve! We got to have the Lo's and Uyehara's over again to celebrate the new years!! It was so nice to have them over again and to be able to bring in the new year with them!! AND ALL of us kids made it to bring in the new year!!!  We were all tired but none of us had any major breakdowns! I had so much fun with everyone- dancing, playing and of course eating! =) Happy New Year!!!

Kiley's 4 months old!

Dec 30th

Kiley is 4 months old!!! She had her 4 month appt and was 13lbs 14 ounces and 23.5” tall! She’s such a big girl already! Mommy tried to compare her stats to mine but it was hard because I had my 4 month appt almost at 5 months! Kiley is doing really well. She’s pushing up onto her hands and elbows now and can do tummy time pretty well. She actually tolerates it well too and will stay there quite a long time. She can lift her head up much better and will look around. She also can sit pretty well in the bumbo and mommy and daddy just put her in the high chair. It’s fun to have her at the dinner table with me. She’s not rolling yet, but she does roll from back to side often. Mommy says she loves to watch me because I'm so animated and energetic. She does laugh at me a lot and I think it's so funny. She also seems to recognize people and things and she appears aware of her surroundings more. Kiley is cooing and laughing and ‘talking’ more!! Mommy thinks it's so cute but I just try and talk back to her in the same way! She smiles a lot more too so we all try and make her smile when we can. She seems to be a happy baby =), at least that's what my mommy says!
